This painting of a Short Toed Snake Eagle took a long time to complete, it was difficult to get the eyes right..........

also in between i enjoyed doing a lot of sketches !!

the bird is hungry
identifies the prey
swoops down at about 300 kms/per hour
feathers are splashed all over.......................

Went to B'bay for the weekend

good to be with my cousins

atleast for a few days

they did pull a prank on me by getting garlands etc to welcome me at the airport !!

only they can think of such things

ganapathibaba is always there in grandfather's Bandra house/vadi

since time immemorial

every day lots of people come

good food is cooked

more than 30 people will be there for dinner daily

for 10 days !!

The Splashing Osprey

This is my portrayal of one of my favourite birds............. The Osprey. On this painting i really had to work very hard, especially on the feathers

Mischief, the Labrador.........!!

I did this painting for my sister mana

She wanted me to paint her 10 year old Labrador named mischief. In this painting he has got a red cap on to make him look more mischievous !!

I gifted her this painting for raakhi.

The leopard with its kill

then the canvas became like this after two weeks..................



Finally after a month...................

this how it looked in the end with the Leopard looking into the sunset, his kill; a deer is kept safely up on tree (You have to look clearly to see it) to savour for dinner !!
